With no money and nowhere to go, she accepts a seemingly easy cleaning job: picking up trash.

But reality proves far more bizarre. When she steps into the vanished Subway Line 1, she meets a fish-headed man in a suit. A hotpot restaurant she visits serves human meat. Haunted houses have sentient furniture that chases residents in the dark. Aquariums contain mechanical jellyfish that suck blood, forced-breeding mermaids, and invisible organisms no one can name. Even a visit to the dentist ends in horror—teeth raining from the sky as soon as she stretches out her hand.
