Setting: The Vast Land of Shenzhou

In a time shrouded in the mists of antiquity, long before the rise of kingdoms and empires, there was only Shenzhou, a vast and untamed land where heaven and earth held sway with indifferent power.

The world is not kind. Storms raged, mountains trembled, and death came without warning. In the face of such chaos, humanity sought solace and understanding beyond themselves — thus, the belief in gods and spirits was born.

From fear and awe arose myths of celestial beings in the heavens and shadowy rulers in the underworld. Temples rose, prayers were whispered, and incense burned endlessly as people begged for mercy, fortune, or escape from death.

Yet death comes to all. And because of that, many sought a way to defy fate itself — the path of immortality.

Though true immortality remains elusive, some have walked the road of cultivation, seeking strength beyond mortal limits. With ancient secrets, powerful artifacts, and techniques passed down through generations, these cultivators have harnessed the forces of nature, commanded lightning, and even extended their lives far beyond normal men. To the common folk, they are no different from gods — thus began the legend of the "Xian" — the Immortals.

Across the vast lands of Shenzhou, countless sects and schools of cultivation emerged, each following its own path. Some walked the righteous path, others embraced darkness. But among them all, one story begins — the tale of a young disciple named Zhang Xiaofan from the Qingyun Sect, whose destiny will change the fate of the world forever.
